Family.
This time of year we like to mention them with a smile on our lips. I am blessed to have a generally warm family history, with a only a few hiccups along the way (hmm... ok. The use of the word "hiccup" might be a mild choice in this case). Regardless of the road we have traveled, I say with pleasure that I will see all of them this holiday season, and I am elated.
I do recognize that not all feel the way I do about family during this time of turkey, hot chocolate, and the "Christmas Story." As someone explained to me last week, "Look, I am not saying that (my) family isn't capable of hurt..." I do accept that "family" does not always coincide with joyful emotion this season. But below is a collection of photos that one can appreciate, regardless of family perception. Two girls, one just a teenager, and the other married with her first baby on the way; both of them sitting in the corner making silly faces at their mother as she has her moment of total attention. Dad shows up in the end to hop into the background, willing regardless of whatever team was playing that early autumn afternoon. Family, in our studio, is...
In our studio, "family" is always beautiful.
Love to you!
