Simple knotted updo: Formal hair in Augusta GA

Good morning, everyone! It has been a long, busy week, but I hope you will find these tutorials useful either today or in the future!

This last tutorial is a full-on updo. First, I set my hair with a 1" barrel curling iron. This one, curling away from my face...

Then, I backcombed my crown, starting at the edge of the fringe area and working my way back. Over-direct for maximum lift.

Pull all of you hair back behind you, and have your bobby pins ready.

Separating from the bottom of your hair, grab nearly a third of it.

Now, switch hands with it (if you are right-handed). Tie it in a knot at the base of the strands, but don't pull the hair all the way through the knot (leave a little looped into the center of the knot. Pin in place.

And repeat with the other two sections.

Check out the front and sides, pinning any undesirable loose hairs in place, and then you are done!

Goodbye, my friends! I can't wait to see so many of you dolled up tonight. I am so ready for a party!
