my year in the miller theater, volume 7
Welcome to Volume 7, our continued exploration of the wonderful Miller Theater and my time running rampant thru it. As for the building itself this volume, we spend a lot of time on the roof exploring it’s expanse and the environment beyond. In the portrait section, we have the lovely Jessica F. taking us to some new areas of the theater, including our first foray into the under stage dressing room area. Thanks for stopping by and check out the photos below!

Notes: Glass block front window looking up and looking down | A lot of roof time, starting out with a couple of night long exposures | One rainy morning | Myriad of roof shots, I think this series really sets just how large the building is and the many different views afforded along the breadth of it’s size | The ubiquitous Lamar Building | Handmade brick work | Rust and that damn building again | The variety of color of this town is one its benefits

This was a fun session. At least that is my opinion because I was dressed up nice, toasty, and warm. This was a bit of a rarity for us as this was a morning session and let’s just say mid-March mornings are not necessarily the warmest around here. But Jessica was more than up for a little morning shenanigans and I am appreciative of that. We had run a little raffle for a photo shoot with the proceeds benefitting a friend and family of ours, and Jessica was our winner for the event. So to show our appreciation, we took her out into the cold and had her strip down to some not warm clothes. She was absolutely incredible throughout the entire session bringing beauty and smiles during the session and we are thankful for the opportunity to work with her and help out some friends as well.
